Howdy Do!

2 Hour Study

My 2nd Plein air seemed alright, until I took it inside once again. Once I brought it inside, the colors and values became less than desirable. Since I am a noob when it comes to landscape painting, I was unaware of the suggestion to paint in the shade. Your color and values will become skewed if you mix and paint in direct sunlight. Now that I know, I'll keep that in mind for the future.

My 3rd Pleinair - 2.5 hours or so.

This one didn't work out as well either in my opinion. I feel like my eye becomes dead to the scene and to my painting after a little while. I have so much fun doing these though. I will continue to do this more.

About an hour and half figure study today.

The first pass of the Grisaille. Small tweaks and adjustments will come to the gray scale before I can move forward with the color.

The first pass of the Grisaille on this one as well. I need to adjust some issues withe figure and actually define the face...

Comments and critiques are more than welcome!
