Art!

These paintings were done this past week. I need to do more. Had fun working on these. I can't wait to focus back on drawing and painting which has taken a bit of a hiatus while I finish up elements for "Golden Planet" and enjoying the last several days of summer. Most of them were between 1.5 to 3 hour studies. 

These studies I think are on the right track but there are still some issues that need to be resolved. I received the critique that I'm relying too heavily on value as opposed to, saturation, and hue. This will be something that I experiment with in the future as I become more accustomed to my materials. 

I do feel rather conflicted that I did not meet the requirement of creating 40 paintings over the summer. There are zillion and one excuses for why this wasn't accomplished but mainly I didn't make adequate time for it. Comments and critiques more than welcome. 

Golden Planet 

Here is the final version of the promotional video for the upcoming album. 

The album artwork as it currently stands. Fine details for credits will be updated, as well as some song names. 

Rocket Modeled in Maya 2012. 

Additional graphic work done in Photoshop. 

Here is a nearly finished track from the album. The album is roughly 95% mixed and needs only some small adjustments and transitional elements added before we send it off to get it mastered and finalized.

Hourish Study

I had fun with this one! I felt the construction of the painting made sense. I need to do more of these and refine it. 

Promotional Video.

This video has consumed a lot of my time as of recently. I still need to make a number of adjustments with timing once I obtain the final take of the piano piece, written and performed by Dom Gray.

A lot of the images in the video are from the Library of Congress, along with a number of other public domain imagery.

Golden Planet

This is still a work in progress but it's getting there. Portrait by Bianca Garza. Harbor image is of Toledo, Ohio between 1910 - 1920 provided by the Library of Congress. All of the other digital compositing by me. 

The album will get completed before the end of the year if everything comes together accordingly. 

More paintings in the relatively near future.
